Brad nails are small-gauge steel wire nails with a small head, leaving minimal marks. Used with a brad nailer they place quickly and accurately. Available in stainless, galvanized or plain steel.
Compared with finish nails, brads are thinner (18-gauge vs 15–16 gauge), leave smaller holes, and suit delicate trim. Finish nails hold heavier stock.
